Maryanne Maniatis Linzer, age 64, passed away at home in Naples, FL on January 9, 2026, due to complications from chronic health issues including end-stage renal disease.

Born on July 31, 1961, in New Rochelle, NY to James and Christina Maniatis, Maryanne graduated high school from The Ursuline School and received her Bachelor of Science degree from Providence College. She began her career working in the lab of pioneering cell biologist and cancer researcher Dr. Malcom A.S. Moore at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. She worked for many years as an assistant in the law offices of James P. Maniatis, prior to moving to Naples, FL.

Maryanne was a loving and devoted daughter, cousin, friend, godmother, and spouse. She had a memorable giggle and warm smile, and you knew she was especially delighted when she tilted her head back and forth. She loved dogs particularly her beloved Izzy and earlier in life, little Wangsy. Growing up, she spent fun times in the sun with cousins in Bayville, NY and at Orienta Beach Club, Mamaroneck, NY – and later in Naples, FL at the Eagle Creek Golf Community where she lived.

She is survived by her husband Ira Linzer and was preceded in death by her father James Maniatis and Christina Krondes Maniatis of New Rochelle, NY who adored their beloved daughter.

A Wake and Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 7th, 2026, at the Riverdale Funeral Home, 5044 Broadway, New York, NY 10034. Wake: 9:00 am. Memorial Service: 9:30 am. Starting promptly at 11:00 am following the Memorial Service, an Orthodox Prayer Service and burial will be held at the Beechwoods Cemetery, 179 Beechwoods Ave, New Rochelle, NY 10801.
